The Plattehof Hotel is conveniently located in a residential area in the center of town.
At the nearby Parking Garage Rämibühl at Zürichbergstrasse 10, we have 10 parking spaces for our guests.
Parking spaces can be booked on arrival depending on availability, the cost is CHF 20.00 per night.
Coming from the Airport Zurich-Kloten:
Follow the motorway (A51) towards Zürich-City. Take the exit at Zurich-Milchbuck from where you follow the sign Zürich City. You will be following Winterthurerstrasse, then Universitätsstrasse and finally Rämistrasse. Once you pass the University of Zurich you will find Gloriastrasse to your left. Enter Gloriastrasse, after approx. 200 meters you reach Plattenstrasse to your right. Enter Plattenstrasse and you will find the Designhotel Plattenhof after 100 meters to your right-hand side.
Coming from Bern/Basel:
At the end of the motorway (A3) follow the sign “Zürich City”. Once you have passed the Main Station follow the sign “Universität”. Across from the University building you find Gloriastrasse. Enter Gloriastrasse, after approx. 200 meters you reach Plattenstrasse to your right. Enter Plattenstrasse and you will find the Designhotel Plattenhof after 100 meters to your right-hand side.
Coming from Chur/Luzern:
At the end of the motorway (A3) follow the sign “Rapperswil/See”. This will bring you to across the river to the Bellevue square. From here follow the sign “Universitätsspital”. You will be following Rämistrasse and after approx 800 meters to the crossing of Rämistrasse and Zürichbergstrasse, where you find a sign “Plattenhof”. Enter Zürichbergstrasse to your left, after approx. 200 meters you reach the crossing of Zürichbergstrasse and Plattenstrasse, where you will see the Hotel Plattenhof at your left-hand side.
By tram:
Leave the station building towards Bahnhofstrasse. At the tram stop “Bahnhofstrasse/HB” take the tram no. 6 towards “Zoo”. Exit the tram at “Platte”, walk 20 m back and enter Plattenstrasse to your left hand side. You will find the Designhotel Plattenhof after 100 metres to your right hand side

Approx. 20 minutes, approx. CHF 55.- to 60.-
By train:
Trains are leaving every 10 minutes from the airport towards the city center (Zürich HB/Main Station). From there take the tram (see below). Buy your combined train & tram ticket at the blue ticket machine before boarding the train (CHF 6.20 one way).
By tram:
Tram no. 10 leaves outside the Airport Shopping Mall (upper level) and brings you in 30 minutes to “ETH/Universitätsspital” from where you can reach the Plattenhof within 10 minutes by walking. Buy your tram ticket at the blue ticket machine before boarding the tram (CHF 6.20 one way).
